Last Will and Testament of Timothy Bolsover of Mosborough (1757)

In the name of God Amen I Timothy Bolsover of Mosborough of the parish of Eckington in the County of Derby being indifferent as to bodily health and of a sound understanding and memory praised be God for the same and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life I do hereby revoke and disannul all former Wills by me heretofore made and do make and ordain my last will and testament as follows – And whereas I have already given and paid to my eldest daughter Anne Webster the sume of Ten pounds of lawfull Brittish Money I do hereby also further give and bequeath unto her the said Anne Webster the annual or yearly sume of Three pounds of like lawfull Brittish Money to be paid hereunto of my Real and personal Estate by my Executor and Executrix hereafter named from the time of my death by two half yearly payments and equal portions in each and every year for and during the term of her natural life, which said annuity I give her in full of her portion out of my estates. I also give and devise unto my Son in law William Staton and unto my daughter Hannah Staton my messuage and croft in Mosborough together with all its rights members and appurtenances for and to the survivor of them for life, and the remainder to the children that shall be bourne of the body of the said Hannah to be divided amongst them by such parte and portions and in such manner as such survivor as aforesaid by his or her last Will and Testament in writing shall direct and appoint. All the rest and residue of my Personal Estate I give and bequeath wholly and absolutely unto my said Son in Law William Staton and to my daughter Hannah Staton whom I appoint and ordain Sole Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. And whom I likewise charge with the payment of the Annuity aforementioned. And all my just debts and funeral expenses. In Wittness whereof I the said Timothy Bolsover have hereunto sett my hand and seal this Twenty Ninth day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Seven.
