This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Rose of Mosbrough in the parish of Eckington in the County of Derby Farmer which I make in the several paragraphs indicated by the marginal numbers hereinafter appearing. 1. I appoint Thomas Hattersley Rodgers of Ridgeway in the parish of Eckington aforesaid Blacksmith sole Executor and Trustee of this my Will and hereby revoke all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made. 2. I give devise and bequeath unto the said Thomas Hattersley Rodgers his heirs executors administrators and assigns all my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever upon trust to sell call in and convert into money the said real and personal estate or such part thereof as shall not consist of money and shall with and out of the money produced by such sale. calling in and with and out of such part of my personal Estate as shall consist of money pay my funeral and Testamentary expenses and debts and the legacies bequeathed by this my Will and distribute the residue as hereinafter mentioned. 3. I give the following legacies free of legacy duty that is to say, To William Rose of Killamarsh in the said County of Derby, Publican, the Son of my brother Jude the sum of Two hundred pounds, To my oldest Sister Hannah Lee wife of the late Thomas Lee of Moore Hole near Mosbrough aforesaid the sum of One hundred pounds To William Rose Lee the illegitimate child of Elizabeth Rose Alton Plumbley the sum of Fifty pounds, To my Nephew Joseph Ward of Dronfield in the said County of Derby Blacksmith the sum of Fifty pounds To my brother Joseph Rose of Mosbrough aforesaid Blacksmith the sum of One hundred pounds To the children of Sarah Brocklebank the sum of Twenty pounds each, To my brother Benjamin Rose of Killamarsh aforesaid Shoemaker the sum of One hundred pounds. 4, I give devise and bequeath the residue of my unapplied Estate unto the said William Rose Hannah Lee, William Rose Lee, Joseph Ward, Joseph Rose, the Children of Sarah Brocklebank and Benjamin Rose in such respective shares and proportions as that they will each receive a share in proportion to the amount of the legacy by this my Will given to each of them. The Testator Thomas Rose was late of Mosbrough in the County of Derby, Farmer, and died on the 21st day of October 1877 at Mosbrough aforesaid Personal Estate under £100.
