Last Will and Testament of Thomas Hudson of Haven, gentleman (1709)

In the name of God Amen I Thomas Hudson of Haven in the prsh of Eckington in the County of Derby Gent beinge weake and infirme in body but of pfect minde and memory (praise be given to Almighty God for the same) Therefore consideringe the frailty and uncertainty of this humane life doe make and ordaine this my last Will and testmenent in manner and forme followinge First and principally I commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator who gave it And my body I commit to The Earth from whence it came to be decently buryed att the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as for my Temporall and worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me I give and dispose of the same in manner followinge First my Will and minde is and I doe hereby give and bequeath unto my loveing Sonne Thomas Hudson All my wearing apparel whatsoever All the rest of my Goods Cattle Chattells real and personall Estate whatsoever after my debts legacy and funerall Expenses are discharged I doe hereby give and bequeath unto George Savage my Sonne in Law and I doe hereby make and ordaine him The sd George Savage sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament And I doe revoake make null and voyde all former and other Will or Wills by me heretofore made and doe pubish and declare this only to be Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale The Tenth day of August In The Eight yeare of The Raigne of our Soveraigne Lady Anne by the Grace of God Queene over Great Brittaine &c.
