This is the last Will and Testament of me Septimus Staton of Mosbro, in the Parish of Eckington in the County of Derby Sickle Manufacturer First I Will and direct that all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences be paid and payable out of my real and personal estate and effects by and at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named. Then I give and bequeath unto my four sons , George Staton, Mark Staton William Staton and Hugh Staton All and Singular my Three Dwellinghouses Shops Smithys outbuildings Gardens Orchards and appurtenances Trade Stock in trade Cattle implements of husbandry household goods furniture debts rights credits and effects whatsoever and weresoever to have and to hold the same upon Trust to be by them disposed of in the following manner and form ( that is to say ) I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Sarah Staton the sum of Five Shillings per week for and during the term of her natural life to be raised and levied out of my real and personal estate and effects and paid to her at the end of every four Weeks, I give devise and bequeath unto my two daughters Mary Turner the wife of Joseph Turner and Eliza Maria Staton the sum of Nineteen Pounds and Nineteen Shillings each and to my two Grandchildren Olive Turner and Betsy Turner daughter of my late daughter Ann Turner the sum of Ten Pounds each all which said legacies of Nineteen Pounds Nineteen Shillings and Ten Pounds each shall be raised and levied out of my real and personal estate and effects and paid to them on or before the expiration of Twelve calendar Months next after my said wifes decease but in case of the decease of my said daughter Mary Turner before these said legacies become due her share or legacy shall be equally divided amongst her children then living together with my said daughter Eliza Marias share in case she dies before that time such said shares to be paid to them when and as they become of age the interest thereof accruing in the meantime And in case of the decease of either of my said two Grandchildren before that time such deceased share to go to the survivor but in case of both the said two legacies shall revert to the residuary estate And after all these said legacies are duly paid and discharged there I give devise and bequeath unto my said four Sons George Staton Mark Staton William Staton and Hugh Staton All and singular my Three Dwellinghouses, Shops, Smithys outbuildings and appurtenances and the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate and effects of what kind or nature soever to be equally divided amongst them share and share either by sale or otherwise at their own discretion – And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said four Sons George Staton Mark Staton William Staton and Hugh Staton Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Septimus Staton the Testator have hereunto set my hand this twenty fifth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.
