Last Will and Testament of Richard Lomas of Mosborough, sickle grinder (1827)

This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Lomas of Mosbro in the Parish of Eckington and County of Derby Sickle Grinder I give and bequeath the House I live in with the Outbuildings and all appurtenances thereto belonging with a Croft adjoining the same the Household Goods and Furniture, Books, Linen China Personal Estate, Debts, Rights, Credits and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever (subject to the payment thereout of my just debts and funeral and Testamentary Expenses) unto my Wife Elizabeth Lommas to have and to hold the same for her natural life and at the death of me and my Wife Elizabeth Lommas aforesaid the same to be transferred to my Daughter Hannah Wife of William Lockwood of Mosbro Stone Mason, the said William and Hannah Lockwood to have and to hold it for their natural lives, and at their decease to be sold equally divided amongst the Children of the aforesaid William and Hannah Lockwood and William Lommas the illegitimate Son of the said Hannah Lockwood. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Joseph Booth of Eckington Executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Richard Lommas the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven
