In the name of God Amen I Nicholas Pedley of Plumley in the parish of Eckington in ye County of Derby yoman Beeing in Good health and perfect memory and Remembrance praised be ye Lord for ye same I doe Make and Ordane this my last Will and Testament in Manner and forme following First I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my maker hoping that through the merritts and death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and as for my Body I comit to ye Earth to be buried in Christian burial at ye discretion of my Executor here after Named and I dispose of my Worldly Goods as followeth Item I give unto my wife ye rent of all my lands which lieth at Whitting(ton) during her Naturall Life. But my mind and Will is Shee shall pay unto my Daughter Anne Wife unto Peator Steele ye sume of one pound Every year During her natural life and likewise my sune Nicholas pay ye same out of ye rent for Whittington Lands so long as my Daughter Anne shall Life But if my Wife will not revouk ye writing I Made her when I Married her then shee shale have no wright to ye rent of ye house and lands of Whittington and my Mind and Will is that my Wife Shale have a parlor to Dwell in and have her Bed and her Chist and her Trunke to Dispose of at her Death but my Wife is to pay my Sune 5 Pounds a year for ye Parlor and her Table and of this my Last will I make my Sune Nicholas my Executor hoping hee will performe all things herein Menioned Itame I give unto my Daughter Mary now wife unto John Frith ye Sume of five pounds to be paid in 12 munthes after my Death and Likewise I Give unto my Daughter Elizabeth now Wife unto Henray Norman ye Sum of Ten pounds to bee payd in 12 munthes after my Death But hee shall give my Sune Nicholas a receipt frome ye 5 pounds which her grandmother Anne Parker Left her and if shee refuse to give him a receipt then shee shale have no wright to ye ten pounds and I Give unto my Daughter Sarah now Wife unto Joseph Hutton ye sume of five pounds to be paid 12 munths after my Death and I Give unto my Daughter Martha now Wife unto Mathe(w) Hobson ye Sume of one shilling and ye Wrest of my personal estate I give unto my sune Nicholas Which I make my Executor of this my Last Will and Likewise I give him all my Lands and housing at Whittington and all Lands at Brada (Bradway) and ye Cotage at Newbould mower for ever But if my sune Nicholas should Die without ears and at ye death of his Wife all my Lands shall bee devided equally amongst all my Daughters for ever That is Anne and Mary and Elizabeth and Sarah and Martha equally amongst them and to have their Mother parte and of this my Last Will I make my sune Nicholas my Executor hoping hee will pay for me all things herein mentioned I publish and Decl’ this my Last will and Testament in the performance of But if my sune have occasione for to sell his land hee shale have …… to make a good …… for it
