In the Name of God Amen The Twenty Third Day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy I Josiah Atkin of Mosbrough in the parish of Eckington and County of Derby Sicklesmith being weak in body but of sound mind and perfect memory thanks be to God for it and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die I do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament First and principally I Give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently Buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as touching such Wordly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life I Give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form First of all I Give and Bequeath after my decease unto my Daughter Elizebeth Oats the Sum of One Pound to be paid her by my Executor within One year and One Day next after my decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my son Robert Atkin the Sum of One Pound to be paid him by my Executor within One Year and One day next after my decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my son in Law John Booth Cutler the Sum of One Pound to be paid him by Executor within One year and One Day next after my decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my son in Law Thomas Booth the Sum of Five Shillings of good and Lawfull Money of England to be paid him by my Executor within One Year and One Day next after my decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my son George Atkin the Bed Bedstocks and Furniture now standing and being in the Parlour and One Chest in the Chamber and all my Wearing Apparel and also the Hay Corn and Potatoes that ariseth from the Crops of the Ground and the Turnips Also I Give and Bequeath unto my son George Atkin and my son Robert Atkin and to my Daughter Elizabeth Oats all my Household Goods to be equally Divided amongst them share and share Equal alike Also I Give and Bequeath unto my son in Law Joseph Oats the good will of the Meadow I now Rent I also nominate Constitute and Appoint my son George Atkin sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament he paying my Just Debts and Funeral charges and the Legacies above mentioned to the persons above mentioned at the time mentioned for payment thereof And I do also hereby revoke and disannul all other and former Will or Wills heretofore by me made and no other but this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Day and Year above written
