Last Will and Testament of Joseph Rose of Mosborough, blacksmith (1890)

This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Rose of Mosbrough near Eckington in the County of Derby Blacksmith I appoint my Son William Rose and my Friend Frederick Hodgson of Mosbrough Ironmonger Executors of this my Will. I give and bequeath all my personal estate unto my said Son William absolutely subject to the payment thereout of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses (except any Mortgage debt or charge on my real estate) I give to my said Son William all my real estate for and during  the term of his natural life subject to him keeping such real estate in good and tenantable repair and condition and insured against loss or damage by fire and also paying the Interest on any Mortgage debt affecting the same at my decease and also subject to the payment by my said Son William of the sum of Three pounds per year to my Son George during the life of my said Son William if he (my said Son George) shall so long live and also subject to the payment by my said Son William of the further sum of Three pounds per year to my Son John during the life of my said Son William if he (my said son John) shall so long live And upon the decease of my said Son William I give and devise all my said Real Estate to the said Frederick Hodgson (hereinafter referred to as my Trustee) Upon Trust to sell the same by Public Auction or private contract and out of the proceeds of sale after payment of the mortgage debts and all expenses I direct my Trustees to pay the sum of Fifty pounds equally amongst all the children of my late Daughter Mary Drabble and also the further sum of Fifty pounds equally amongst all the children of my late Daughter Sarah Brunt which I do hereby give to them and I direct my Trustee to pay and I hereby give all the residue of the said proceeds and trust moneys as to two third parts thereof equally between my said Two Sons George and John absolutely and as to the remaining one third part thereof equally amongst the children of my said son William who shall be living at his decease and who shall attain the age of twenty one years I hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. Proved at Derby the 21st day of October 1890 by the oaths of William Rose, the Son, and Frederick Hodgson the Executors to whom Administration was granted.
