This is the last Will and Testament of me John Whawell of Mosbro in the parish of Eckington in the County of Derby Butcher First, I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid and payable out of my real or personal estate and effects by and at the discretion of my Executrix and Executor hereinafter named then I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Sarah Whawell all and singular my dwelling houses gardens lands tenements and hereditaments household goods and furniture money in any Bank or Banks Club or Clubs, debts rights credits and effects whatsoever and wheresoever to have and to hold the same at her own free will and disposal absolutely and forever and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Sarah Whawell Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and John Drabble of Mosbro aforesaid Executor thereof In Witness whereof the said John Whawell the Testator have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty — John Whawell Signed published and declared by the said John Whawell as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses – Elizabeth Plant Mosbro John Ibbotson Hayes Proved at Derby the eighth day of March 1880 by the Oaths of Sarah Whawell Widow the Relict, and John Drabble the Executors to whom Administration was granted. The Testator John Whawell was late of Mosborough in the parish of Eckington in the County of Derby Butcher and died on the sixteenth day of January 1880 at Mosborough aforesaid.
