Last Will and Testament of John Gill of Mosborough Moor Top, sickle smith (1783)

In the name of God Amen I John Gill of Mosbro moor top in the parish of Eckington in the County of Derby Sickle Smith being of sound mind and memory, thanks be to God, for the same, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say, First of all, I Give unto my Brother in Law George Booth and Mary his wife, that my House in the High Lane in the parish of Eckington aforesaid and now in the possession of John Bird, they paying to their Son John Booth One Guinea per year for the term of Five years out of the said house abovementioned, and at the Decease of George Booth and Mary his wife the House to be sold and the money equally divided amongst their three Children, John Booth, Sarah Story, Mary Memmott, or their heirs, Also I Give to my Nephew, Thomas Gill,  the sum of six pounds six shillings Also I give to George Gill, John Gill, William Gill and Elizabeth Chapman and Stephen Gill, to each the sum of one Guinea, Also I Give to Rebecca Woolhouse the sum of Fifteen pounds, And all the rest of my Estate after my Debts and Funeral expenses discharged if any thing remain, I Give to my Executors hereinafter named in trust that they will divide it amongst such of my Relations as they shall think most proper, And I do hereby Constitute and appoint George Booth of Mosbro moor hole and Robt. Turner of Ridgeway, Sickle smith both of the parish of Eckington aforesaid, Executors of this my last and testament  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighth day of August, In the year of our Lord, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Three
