Last Will and Testament of James Youle of Mosborough Moor, currier (1772)

In the name of God Amen I James Youle of Mosbro’ moor in the Parish of Eckington in the County of Derby. Late of Barnsley in the County of York Currier being weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be God for the same do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say, I give and bequeath to the eight Children of John Rose of Mosbro’ moor aforesaid Carpenter by his Wife Martha Rose my beloved Niece to each the Sum of fifty Pounds of lawfull Money of England to be paid to each of them as they shall respectively attain to the Age of twenty one years. And if it happen that any of them die before he or she attain to the said Age of twenty one years then I will that his or her contingent Legacy of fifty Pounds as aforesaid be at the dispose of Martha Rose their Mother aforesaid as she in the discetion shall judge proper. And all the rest of my Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath to my said Niece Martha Rose. And if this my Last Will and Testament I constitute and appoint the said Martha Rose Sole Executrix revoking all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and seventy two.
