This is the last Will and Testament of me James Duff of Mosbro in the parish of Eckington and Co of Derby Schoolmaster After payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give devise and bequeath to my beloved Wife Susan Duff the sum of one hundred pounds being a policy No 6975 on my life contracted with the Church of England Assurance Institution King Street Cheapside, London together with my furniture and household effects I also give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Kate Duff the sum of fifty pounds for her own use and benefit absolutely being the half a policy No 7225 Insured on my life with the aforesaid Institution to be invested by my Executors (hereafter mentioned, in the Savings Bank until she be twenty one years of age at which time both principal and interest are to pass into her hands And as to the residue and remainder of the last mentioned policy I direct that it be expended on the education of my two sons George Fitz James Duff and John Edward Duff And I hereby appoint my beloved Wife Susan Duff, George Russell Esq. of the City of Limerick Ireland, Schoolmaster, Rev. John Russell of No 5 Ebrington Terrace Londonderry, Ireland, and George Fitz Gerald Russell, Collegian, Nicholas Street, Limerick, Ireland Executors of this my last Will as witness my hand this thirtieth day of December 1865

Proved at Derby the twenty third day of April 1866 by the oath of Susan Duff Widow the Relict one of the Executors to whom Administration was granted; George Russell Esquire, The Reverend John Russell Clerk, and George Fitzgerald Russell, Esquire, the other Executors having renounced.
