In the name of god amen I George Turnor of more holl in ye p’ish of Eckington in the county of Derby yeoman being weake of body but of perfect memory and Remembrance praised be the lord for ye same I do make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following Imprimis I bequeath my soul into ye hands of almighty god my maker hooping that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my onely saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon and fouriveness of all my sins, and as for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my executor hereafter nominated, and as for my wordly goodes I dispose of them as followeth, viz. It. I give and bequeath unto my Sonne George Turnor one shilling. It. I give and bequeath unto my Sonne Thomas Jackson one shilling. It. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne Turnor the house wherein I live and the appurtenances and my house hold goods whatsoever, It. I give and bequeath unto my Grandchildren Joseph Jackson, Robertah Jackson, and Aliz Jackson the sum of three pounds that is to say tweny shillings apiece, to be paid six year after my decease, Item I give and bequeath unto my grandchild John Turnor forty shillings to be paid six years after my decease, It. I give and bequeath unto my sonne George Turnor and my sonne Thomas Jackson and my Daughter Anne Turnor the quick goods that I shall have at my decease to be equally divided amongst them, It. I reserve forth of my land six pounds to dispose to whom I please at my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne Thomas Jackson the sum of twelve pounds in manner and forme following, Viz. the sum of four pound one yeare after my decease, and the sum of four poundes to be paid two year after my decease, and the other four poundes to be paid three year after my decease. It. all the rest of my good lands and tenements, what soever I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Turnor wishing him to see my legacies and debts paid and funeral charges discharged, and I make him sole executor of this my last will, and testament revoking all other wills and testaments. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the tenth day of June in the first yeare of the raigne of our soveraigne lord James ye 2nd by the grace of god over England, Scotland, France and Ireland, king defender of ye faith . anno Domini 1685.
