Last Will and Testament of Ann Crookes of Mosborough, widow (1647)

In the name of god Amen this 18th day of may Anno Domini 1647 I Ann Crookes of mosbrough in ye p’ish of Eckington in ye County of Derbie widdow being sicke in body but of good and perfecte memory thankes be to god for ye same do make this my last will and testament In manner and forme following first and principaly I bequeath my soule in to the handes of all mighty god my maker and redeemer by whose precsious bloud I doubt not but to be made partaker of his etternal and everlasting kingdome and my body to be buryed in ye church yard of Eckinton at the discresion of my frendes and as touching all my worldly goodes and substance w’ch god hath sent me I give and bequeath as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Willm Crookes my son seventeene(?) poundes and to his chilldren three pounds …… of my mind and will is that William Crookes shall ……. In parte of payment of his £17 the one haulfe parte of a bonde of £10 15s 6d due to me from Peeter Potter and fillip crookes my soone the other haulfe Item I give unto Godfrey Crookes my soone £18 and to his Childen forty shillings whereof he is ……. In parte of payment of his £18 and fife pound of a bond w’ch is due to me from peeter briges Item more I give unto Phillip Crookes twenty fife poundes Item I give unto Penelope Boouth and to her childen Tenn poundes Item I give unto Ann Creswick and to her children tenn poundes Item I give unto Willm Boouth soone of Penelope Boouth four pound Item I give unto my brother Robte Tonnond(?) 5s Item I give to every woone one of the smithy men 2s and to every god child 12d my debtes paid and my expenses of my funeral discharged I make and appoint henry Crookes my sonne wholly and soll Executor hoping he will performe the same according to my true meaning. Item more I give unto Phillip Crookes a fether bed with beding be longing to it and parte of household goods as henry Crookes my Executor thinkes fite Item I give unto Michael higine iiis ivd And to Elizabeth Burgoyone iiis ivd And to Ann Sheperd iiis ivd  And Elizabeth Shepard iiis iiiid In witness where of I annex here unto my hand and seal ye deay and yeare firste above written Item where as above said Thomas given £20 to Godfrey Crookes and his children my mynde is that it shall be as full satisfaction of all just reckonings and accounts what so ever and have so ever
